What is Mini Vinnies? Mini Vinnies empowers our children to become advocates within their school and local community by putting their values into action. They meet regularly to learn about social justice issues, develop leadership skills and engage with the wider St Vincent de Paul Society.

Walk Against Hunger

Everyone dressed in blue and yellow today to ‘Walk Against Hunger’, whilst showing our solidarity with the people of Ukraine. With the support of our families the school raised an incredible £244, which will be shared between UNICEF and CAFOD – two agencies that are working hard to support a country in desperate need of help.  Thank you Mini-Vinnies for organising such a fantastic fundraising event.

The Mini-Vinnies were brimming with pride as they inspected their Harvest Festival food collection.  They cannot wait to deliver it to the local Food Bank.

Walk for Water Appeal

As part of our alms giving for Lent, the Year 6 Mini-Vinnies led a whole school assembly inviting children to join together to ‘Walk for Water’.  This took place in school and the children raised an incredible £218.  This money will be donated to Cafod’s Lent campaign to buy water pumps and containers for our friends in Afar.  It is wonderful to be able to offer support and Christian fellowship to those countries that have difficulty accessing even the most basic of amenities.  ‘See, Think, Do – Turning concern into Action’.
